One of the Mohanlal films that has been into production for quite a long time is ‘Swapnamalika’.

Directed by K A Devaraj, the initial portions of the movie was shot with pompousness at Haridwar. But somehow, the superstar seems to have lost interest in the project and the director was finding hard to complete the movie with the latter regularly shifting of dates. Somehow Devaraj seems to have decided to complete the movie with some major corrections in the screenplay, which may not demand the superstar in bigger portions.

Now the film is being shot at Ottapalam to wrap up the remaining portions. The movie also features a foreign actress Elena, who appears as Radha Karmel in the movie. The character played by her comes over to India following the death of her Indian lover and it is at Haridwar that she gets into the company of the character played by Mohanlal.

Elena is much impressed by Mohanlal who displayed no airs of a superstar in the sets. After completing her parts, Elena will return to Italy in a short while with sweet memories and unending stories about Mollywood filmdom.
